REthink: REthinking Our Problems

“Behold, the hour is coming, indeed it has come, when you will be scattered, each to his own home, and will leave me alone. Yet I am not alone, for the Father is with me. I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:32-33)

What’s Your Biggest Problem Today?

Your problem needs perspective. Your biggest problem is the perspective that you have on your own problem.

The question is not will you have problems, but will your problems have you? So many times people pray to fix a problem that then creates other problems. If you are waiting to be problem free in order to be happy, it’s time to give up.

Sometimes what may seem like a problem is really provision. God will use your problem to direct, connect, protect, correct and perfect.

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28)

It’s time to agree with the promise, not the problem. Problems can make loud sounds. Their sound will always try to get you to repeat and “fit to its sound,” but if you can hear the sound of heaven, then what noise does the problem begin to make?

We need to make a shift from serving and worshipping our problem with our minds and thoughts by making its sound.

Sometimes God delivers you through the problem. but not from the problem. In Daniel 3:1-6 & 16-25, we read the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. God delivered them through the fiery furnace, not from it.

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.” (Isaiah 43:2)
