This Sunday, June 12th, 2016, Pastor Duane White unpacked an amazing message at The Bridge Church in Denton, Texas, called REtell: The Power of a Testimony.

REtell: The Power of a Testimony

What is a testimony? A testimony is the spoken or written record of anything Jesus has done, specifically in the lives of individuals. Testimonies are a powerful thing, often used for encouragement and inspiration, but the power of a testimony is designed to be much more than that.

Here are a few principles around the whole subject of a testimony:

  • Testimonies create an environment for the miraculous. When we begin to focus on what God is doing, rather than moaning about what is not happening, we create an environment for the miraculous.
  • Testimonies release the prophetic around the area of the testimony.
  • When you testify about Jesus, and simply tell His story, He brings the same anointing and grace again.

“Every detail works to your advantage and to God’s glory: more and more grace, more and more people, more and more praise!”(2 Corinthians 4:15, The Message)

When you REtell, God will REdo. If God did it before, He can do it again, and when you REtell what He did, He is present with the same power to do it again!

Human achievement wears off, but the works of God never wear off. Natural accomplishments wear off, but the works of God live forever. They “prophecy” of what God wants to do again and again and again!

The works of God have a life of their own. They never die. They display His nature, and reveal who He is.

God has done great things, so let’s go tell the world about it all.

“He delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will deliver us again.” (2 Corinthians 1:10, ESV)

He delivered us.
He will deliver us.
And our hope is set that He will deliver us again.
