This week Pastor Duane White shared the last message to our REclaimed: Old Things Made New series on Easter Sunday March 27th, 2016 at The Bridge Church in Denton, Texas.

REclaimed: Old Things Made New:

On this Easter Sunday, Pastor Duane White unpacked our very last REclaimed: Old Things Made New message by explaining how old things today are bought and made new. He gave the example of furniture – how we can purchase old and tattered desks and tables to be made new by sanding, painting and staining.

He gave five definitions to the word RE-claim:

  1. to rescue from an undesirable state; to restore to a previous natural state
  2. to obtain from a waste product
  3. to recall from wrong or improper conduct: reform.
    • Humanity is MALFUNCTIONING and we need a serious recall!
    • Jesus came to Reclaim humanity and bring it back to the state it was in before Adam and Eve messed it all up!
  4. to demand or obtain the return of
    • Jesus came and WHIPPED the devil in his own territory in order to get His family back.
  5. to regain possession of

Reclaim suggests a bringing back to a former state or condition of someone or something abandoned. For example, some of the items that Pastor Duane talked about were not bad, but had just been abandoned and lost their purpose.

You may feel like the whole world has abandoned you and you have no purpose for your life, but Jesus paid a price to reclaim your destiny. That’s why we call Him the REDEEMER. Redeem means to buy back, to get, or win something back. Jesus came to buy back your life from the enemy of your soul. He didn’t pay for your life with money or precious metal. He paid back your life with His own blood!

His blood paid for it ALL!

Jesus was beaten and bled in His body to REclaim your health!
He was bruised and bled internally to REclaim your emotional health and heal your INNER wounds!
He bled in His is heart so He could REclaim your broken heart!
He was beaten and bled from His face to REclaim your image!
He bled in His mind so He could REclaim your mind!
He bled from His eyes to REclaim God’s vision over your life!
He bled in His hands to REclaim your destiny to lay hands on the sick and heal them!
He bled in His feet to REclaim your feet to bring the Good News to the world!
HIS BLOOD breaks the chain!

Every need you have ever had, or currently have, or will ever have, Jesus bled to REclaim it back to God’s original intention!

He came to REclaim your destiny and purpose and REstore you to God’s original intention for your life. Your destiny is REclaimed, but your spirit is REborn!

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17, NKJV)

Jesus REclaimed your destiny, but when you are born again, you are not merely a better version of the old you. That may be what it looks like on the outside, but on the inside, your spirit is REmade! YOU ARE BORN AGAIN!

“For God was in Christ, restoring the world to himself, no longer counting men’s sins against them but blotting them out. This is the wonderful message he has given us to tell others.” (2 Corinthians 5:19, TLB)

Jesus came into the humanity, and paid the ultimate price so humanity could come in to Christ! You’ve been RECLAIMED, so you can be REBORN, simply RECEIVE!
