This Sunday, the City of Denton experienced a power outage affecting a large part of Denton – Including us! Five minutes before our Sunday Life Classes began, the power in the building completely shut off. However, that didn’t stop us from coming together and celebrating God!
No Power? No Problem!
With only a few battery powered back up lights, our fantastic team of volunteers managed to make service run smoothly! They came together and worked in unity with great attitudes to get everything done! The Children’s Ministry Volunteers even had to hold class in the hallways, but the children still had a great time! The Media Team got a generator with enough power to run sound through and worked to provide a sound system, and with only one working microphone, the Worship Team pulled together their guitars, a piano and a cajon to have a great time in worship!
This Sunday was a very powerful day we were honored to experience together as the body of Christ! We are so thankful that we get to use electricity every week at The Bridge, however, we realized that we don’t need man-made power to experience the power of God.
Know, Grow, and Go Together!
This ordeal may have been a catastrophe to face alone, but as a team, we came together and praised God through it all!
A Big THANKS to our team of Volunteers who made service run smoothly!
